D-Day Beacon Lighting Ceremony

Everyone’s invited by Ruddington Parish Council (RPC) to mark the 80th anniversary of D-Day in the village. This community evening event is on Thursday 6th June.

The event will be at the War Memorial on Church Street at 8.50pm when the countdown to the synchronised national beacon lighting ceremony gets underway.

D-Day was the invasion of Normandy on 6th June 1944 – World War II did not end on that date – and it led to a successful pathway towards victory for the Allied Forces. #wewillrememberthem
