April Village Market

Ruddington Village Marketreturns this April after a three month break during the latest national Coronavirus ‘lockdown’.
Although organisers from the award-winning Ruddington Village Centre Partnership (RVCP)could have continued with ‘essential’ traders only throughout this period, it was paused again as a safety precaution in February and March because of the large number of visitors it usually attracts.
Remaining restrictions mean its return today(Saturday 3rd April)will still only be with around forty essential stalls but with theGovernment’s ‘roadmap’ paving the way for a ‘normal’ market again by May, if all goes according to plan. As usual it will runfrom 9.00am to 12.30pm.
Volunteers at the last (Christmas) market were celebrating both their Celebrating Rushcliffe Award win and £5K funding boost!
Organisers promise that all COVID-secure measures such as metre-spaced stalls and separate, coned queue lines will again be in place, plus hand sanitiser stations dotted around the market, and all traders and volunteers being asked to mask-up for your (and their) safety. However, non-essential retailers, pubsand cafes in Ruddington village centre will either remain closed or open only for takeaways.
April’s Ruddington Village Market on The Green will be laid out like this…
…with the stall numbers above corresponding to the essential traders below.

The stands are run by both existing village retailers such as The Split Screen Coffee Company and popular market traders from across the region. As the selection of visiting stall holders changes every month, there are always some surprises, sodo keep checking back!
Visitors are also encouraged to visit other essential shops which will be open in Ruddington includingThe Bottle Top, Philo’s Espresso Bar & Gift Shop, and more. If you’re looking for a new home you might even like to call in at Benwell Daykin or Thomas James estate agents on High Street?
Parking is still likely be at a premium, so why not leave the car at home and walk – or catch the bus if you’re travelling from outside Ruddington?Nottingham City Transport’s Navy 3andGreen 10servicesboth stop on The Green. However, please remember you’ll need to continue to wear a face covering on the bus and if visiting our essential village shops.
