Rushcliffe Country Park Wildlife Watch Group

Are you 8 to 13 years old? Interested in nature exploration and discovery, games and practical activities with other young people?
Then go and join in the fun!
Rushcliffe Country Park Wildlife Watch Group usually get together on the 2nd Saturday of every month, from 11.00am to 1.00pm, whatever the weather. Please meet up at the Education Room in Rushcliffe Country Park.
2018 Events
Sat 13th Jan – ‘Wildlife CSI’.
Fancy yourself as a nature detective? Come and find out ‘Who did it!’ Be on the right side of the track.
Sat 10th Feb – ‘Winter’s Water Birds’.
See who’s making a splash this winter in the country park. Hail a heron, call a coot or spy on a swan.
Sat 10th Mar – ‘Myths and Monsters’.
Establish who has the wildest tales in the woods. Can you wander with wizards or tickle a troll?
Sat 14th Apr – ‘Spring has at last Sprung’
An opportunity to investigate the nesting birds, what’s the buzz with bees, what’s bugging the insects, which plants are poking their heads up, & much more.
Sat 12th May – ‘The Urban Worm is Coming’
Go wild for worms! A fascinating journey to the centre of the earth is promised. Find out how you can become an official environmental hero and get worm composting.
Sat 9th June – ‘Dipping Delight’
See what is lurking below the surface in the park’s ponds. Come face to face with scary monsters. (Part of “30 Days Wild in June”)
Sat 14th July – ‘Bush Craft Bash’
Learn how to be a budding Bear Grylls. Build a shelter, cook a Marsh Mallow or just have fun in the woods!
