Armistice Day Two Minute Silence

The anniversary is observed at the War Memorial on Church Street at 11.00am on the 11th November each year, in the form of a 2 minute silence by members of the Ruddington & District Branch of the Royal British Legion.
For 2021, due to continuing concerns about COVID-19 rates, instead of the full service in St Peter’s Churchon ‘Remembrance Sunday’, theservice inside the church will be today at 10am – Thursday 11th November, Armistice Day.
Service of Remembrance
On the Sunday nearest to Armistice Day, the uniformed groups in the village parade from The Green to the War Memorial, led by the Boys Brigade Band. A short service is held at the War Memorial, which is followed by a full service inSt Peter’s Church(except 2020 when it was ‘virtual’ and 2021 when it will be held outside).
