Ruddington’s Village Market takes place on the first Saturday of each month (except January) and is an initiative run by volunteers from the award-winning Ruddington Village Centre Partnership.
It was suspended due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic after the last Market in March, after which ‘lockdown’ restrictions caused the temporary closure of The White Horse pub. However it’s BACK on July 4th 2020 from 9.00am to 1.00pm in a new location. You can read more >>HERE<<.
By permission of Ruddington Parish Council the venue has been changed to The Green, to enable the required ‘social distancing’ without seriously reducing the number of traders, and the time extended by half an hour, too. Over two dozen stalls will be set up around the three main areas of the village green offering safe queueing space – selling a variety of goods, produce, plants, confectionery, quality crafts and provisions to take away. They will be laid out as shown below:
These stands are run by both existing village retailers and popular market traders from across the region. The selection of stalls changes each month, so there are always some surprises. Please keep checking month by month!
Whilst you’re in Ruddington also make sure to visit our many independent village centre shops, cafés and pubs, too – some reopening for the first time since ‘lockdown’ on July 4th. The Old Bakehouse Tearoom just around the corner from The Green on Church Street is well worth a visit for cake and refreshments. Lesley and her team would love to see you there. Whilst Anthony and Alex of The Bottle Top will be selling their usual plastic-free fruit and veg plus beer, eco-friendly products, refills and much more along at their 2, High Street shop.
Market traders wishing to book a stall in the future should click >>HERE<<.
