Stamp Duty Holiday Extended & Guaranteed Mortgage Scheme

Following the budget announcement on March 3rd, that the Chancellor extended the Stamp Duty Holiday, what does this mean for Ruddington residents?

Well, the property purchase tax has been suspended on the first £500,000 on any property purchase, meaning you have the opportunity to save thousands of pounds if you complete your purchase before June 30th 2021.

Nick Aston, senior valuer at Benwell Daykin Estate Agents on High Street, welcomes the extension: “This is great news for home buyers in the Ruddington area” he says. “With their savings on stamp duty, this could potentially help them purchase a forever home or make the necessary improvements to change a house into a home”.

The government has also announced a new mortgage guarantee scheme to help a new generation of first time buyers realise their dream of home ownership. This will increase the availability of 95% loan-to-value mortgage products available to people, enabling them to obtain mortgages without the need for substantial deposits – or the need to borrow from the bank of mum and dad!

Nick adds: “If you have any questions on what this means for you, require mortgage advice or would like a property valuation then please contact a member of our team on 0115 990 2007.”

Benwell Daykin have also announced the return of their annual Easter Colouring Competition. It’s available to children up to eleven by simply downloading the entry form >>HERE<<, colouring it in, then submitting it by 5pm on Good Friday to info@benwelldaykin.co.uk.
