About Us

RUDDINGTON.info is an independent information source of news and events in and around the pretty Nottinghamshire village of Ruddington – which is home to over seven thousand people and provides employment for thousands more.

We began life on our Twitter feed @RUDDINGTON_info in September 2010 (now X) with a curated feed of Ruddington news and events.

By popular demand, on the 22nd of July 2016, RUDDINGTON.info was launched as a full news and events website, to enable us to cover village issues and activities in more depth. For additional social media cross-promotion we added Instagram in November 2018 and our dedicated Facebook page in April 2019.

After our website launch, we began to carry paid advertising from numerous local businesses in order to fund the running of our service – and to offer a truly local source of promotion that wasn’t just another listings’ site.

We would especially like to thank Nottingham City Transport for being our main website sponsor from day one up until the end of 2020. We then welcomed My Care as our second and final site sponsor from 2021 to 2024.

Until July 31st 2024 RUDDINGTON.info was administered by Ruddington media company North Point Productions Ltd. Due to semi-retirement this business has now closed and, consequently, the RUDDINGTON.info website is no longer being updated with news and information.  However, we are retaining most archive content as a Ruddington reference resource for now, including lots of ideas for a #RuddyGoodDayOut (which will still be updated periodically).

Some AdBoxes have been left in place for (only) a handful of valued, former clients who opted to keep their advertising in exchange for monthly donations of £10 or more to Ruddington-based charities of their choice. Our big hearted “Charity Champions” are now donating directly to these selected village charities each month, instead of paying the money to us.

Additionally, for the time being, we are continuing to provide a curated feed of village news and events via our social media channels (only). Therefore please continue to tag us in or make contact via RUDDINGTON.info on Facebook@RUDDINGTON_info on X or @RUDDINGTON_info on Instagram for anything Ruddington news or event-related which you’d like us to share. Please note this does not include business promotion.

Thanks!
