Griswold Gang Family Crafts – Rag Rugging

This is a FREE family event suitable for all ages – with activities tailored for adults and children.It’s part of the Griswold Gang holiday crafts programme. You can have a go a making a square of ‘rag rug’ – just like the ones in the museum’s Victorian cottages. You’ll be provided with materials and colours to work with to create your own square of rugging. It’s free admission however donations are welcome. Refreshments will be available to buy.

Easter With Our Framework Knitters

Easter will be a busy time at Ruddington’s Framework Knitters’ Museum with events for villagers and visitors of all ages. This year it’s supporting Knit for Peace by using its historic, Griswold circular knitting machines to knit strips to be sewn into blankets – and is inviting anyone to have a try. Exciting Year Ahead for Framework Knitters’ Museum

Ruddington’s Framework Knitters’ Museum on Chapel Street is gearing up for what it hopes could be its most successful year to date. Easter Fun in Rudd

As always, there’s a lot going on in Ruddington for the youngsters during the Easter Holidays! The fun starts on Good Friday (30th March) when the Framework Knitters’ Museum will be holding their annual Easter Bunny Hunt from 11 am to 4pm. Farewell Ruddington Fun

After almost eight years of providing free, holiday play activities in Ruddington, the team behind ‘Ruddington Fun‘ has announced the sad news that it’s having to call it a day… Founder Barbara Breakwell recounts: “In summer 2010, I started ‘Summer Fun in Ruddington’. Framework Knitters’ Museum Reopens

Ruddington’s Framework Knitters’ Museum reopens today (Wednesday February 1st) after the winter break. The fourth exhibition at the Chapel Art Gallery, which opened in November 2016, also resumes. This features Nottinghamshire artists Lynda Childs, Dawn Wilsher and Nigel Boughton-Smith. It will continue until Wednesday the 22nd of February.
