DESCRIPTION:Organised by Ruddington Village Community Partnership (RVCP), Ruddington Village Market is held on the first Saturday of each month from 9am to 2pm.\nSince it was launched in February 2019, the open market has become a magnet for shoppers from our village as well as much further afield. There’s a large variety of stalls on The Green plus a chance to visit Ruddington’s many local shops and retailers.\nOn Saturday 6th July there will again be over seventy traders alongside other stalls and stands on the village green. Among these will be the ‘Market Bar’ and Ruddington Parish Council; sharing their latest news and chatting to villagers about any areas of concern.\nRVCP’s monthly charity is Save The Children, entertainment on the ‘live’ music stage comes from Malin Hill whilst, Rachel Murray Storyteller will be under the monkey puzzle tree.  Ruddington Writers Group will also be in attendance.\nThe full list of this month’s visiting retailers – corresponding to the stall numbers on the map beneath – can be viewed below.\n\n\nThe White Horse on Church Street – the Village Market’s original venue – is staging its usual smaller market on the same date – running from 9am to 2pm.\nMarket days are usually very busy in Ruddington, with parking spaces rather limited in the village centre, so residents are asked to walk there, if you are able.\nVisitors from further afield, who live close enough to a Nottingham City Transport bus route, are encouraged to use public transport via a special, discounted Market Day travel ticket. NCT offers 15% off adult and Grouprider tickets on Market Days. All you need to do is scroll down to the ‘NCT Partners’ category in the ‘Mobile Tickets’ section of the NCTX Buses app, choose your ticket, enter discount code RUDDMARKET, and you’ll get the reduced fare.\n\n\nFailing that, if you really do need to come to Ruddington by car, drivers are asked to avoid parking in our village centre and instead navigate to postcode NG11 6JS to make use of the street parking available at Ruddington Fields Business Park or pay just £1.50 to park up to three hours (then it’s £3 for over 3-hours) in the Rushcliffe Country Park car park. From there it’s around a 10-minute walk along Elms Park to Ruddington Village Market along the route shown below.
