DESCRIPTION:Have your chance to sit in the driver’s seat, as well as explore the workings of powerful locomotives with staff on-hand to answer your questions.  Meet the Diesel Fleet is at the Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre (NTHC).\nEntry is £5 per person, but it’s free admission for under 15s. Parking is available on-site and NTCH do kindly request a voluntary donation of £2.00 per vehicle is made, please. This can be paid into the collection box located in the car park.\nPlease note: You are advised to check NTCH events for details because activities on its site may be subject to change (for example due to volunteers and/or the weather). Email nthcevents@gmail.com for more and it also has a Facebook page.\nNottingham Transport Heritage Centre is one of Ruddington’s main visitor attractions. It’s a great place for a day out because organisers say you’ll find “Nottingham Heritage Railway, Nottingham Area Bus Society (NABS), Nottingham SMEE, Ruddington MRC, EMRT, Barnwrights & more.”\nThe Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre in Ruddington\n\nThe Nottingham Society Of Model And Experimental Engineers Ltd will be open operating their excellent miniature railway and for a small fee you too can enjoy the ride! But this is subject to weather conditions and its voluntary team availability.\nNABS – Nottingham Area Bus Society usually open 10am till 4pm all weekend for external viewing however, if you wish to get up close to the buses please ask a member of staff who will be only too pleased to give you a guided tour of the collection.\nRuddington Model Railway Club is open between 11am and 4pm all weekend, so visit and view their models of the local area’s railway.\nThe Heritage Cafe serves hot meals, snacks and drinks.
