SUMMARY:Save the Children ‘Fun Dog Show’
DESCRIPTION:Enter your doggy at the ‘Fun Dog Show’ to raise funds for Save the Children – it’s £2 per entry. This charity event will be on Saturday 20th May at Rushcliffe Country Park – on the field opposite to the Children’s Play Area – from 12.30pm to 3.30pm.\nEntries can be registered on the day from 12.30pm and the judging will begin at 1.00pm. You can also register in advance by picking up an entry form from The Pet Pantry on High Street.\nThe show classes are:  \n\n\n\nWaggiest Tail\nMost Handsome Dog\nPrettiest Bitch\nMost appealing eyes\nMost attractive puppy (under 12 months old)\nBest rescue dog (a dog from a shelter)\nGolden Oldie (over 10yrs old)\nGlossiest Coat\nChild’s Best Friend (handler to be under 12 yrs old)\nBest Trick\n\n\n\nJane Piggott says: “You are welcome to enter your pet into as many classes as you wish; the cost per entry is £2.00.  We ask that all dogs entered into any class are fully vaccinated.  All competing dogs will receive a certificate and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed pets will also receive rosettes.\n“Build a Bond Dog Training have offered to run a ‘have a go’ session for anyone who would like to give training a try. The WI will have a cake and craft stall and there will be a Save the Children stall selling bric a brac, books and toys.  We will also be making a collection for Save the Children – look out for the giant dog! Keep everything crossed for good weather and come along and join us for what we hope will be a fun afternoon.”\nAt the Save the Children ‘Fun Dog Show’ there’ll also be other attractions – an agility demonstration, a pet photographer, and several trade stalls.
