Market’s Easter Return

Saturday April 3rd sees the return of our much loved Ruddington Village Market on The Green.

After a three month hiatus, the market is back on Easter Saturday with 40 essential traders selling food and drinks in line with current lockdown guidelines. If all goes to plan, non-essential traders will return the following month.

Ruddington businesses such as The Frame Breakers, Ruddy Fine Gin, Britmask, Morton’s, Elms Farm, The Next Episode, The Ruddington Arms and Split Screen Coffee, will be joined by regular traders at the market from across the region, offering bread, cheeses, wines, pies, charcuterie, olives, preserves, fudge, macarons, doughnuts and much more.

Market traders from our village include The Split Screen Coffee Company

Ruddington market, run by volunteers from RVCP, is a member of the National Association of British Market Authorities (NABMA) and closely follows their COVID safe recommendations. The market is licensed by Nottingham City Council and follows the advice of Environmental Health to ensure the safety of the public, volunteers and traders.

Enhanced safety measures that were in place when the market operated last year will return; including traders and volunteers wearing masks (unless exempt), and hand sanitizer stations being placed around the green and at stalls. Members of the public are also encouraged to follow the “Hands, Face, Space” slogan we have all become accustomed to, with two metre markings and guides for stalls that generate queues.

The market will be open from 9am until 12:30pm. Visitors are encouraged arrive early to avoid the crowds and get your essential treats before they sell out!
