Pasture Lane Plants Pilfered

Rushcliffe Police say they’ve been made aware of the theft of several hanging baskets and potted plants from outside properties on the Pasture Lane estate in Ruddington.

Officers report that the green fingered felons have been at work since Sunday, the 7th of May. However even before that, last Thursday, village resident Sarah Keep tweeted: “Someone has stolen my hanging basket in Ruddington. Keep yours safe!”

The thefts appear to be happening overnight. Two large pots containing box trees were stolen in one Pasture Lane raid and would have been very heavy. Police think a vehicle will have been involved.

Ruddington residents are urged to remain vigilant against more possible garden thefts.

If you have seen anything suspicious – or have any CCTV footage – you’re asked to ring Nottinghamshire Constabulary on 101.
